Anger as Turkish plans are revealed to buy US missiles

Istanbul – Turkey intends buying US Patriot air defence missiles for some 7.8 billion dollars with delivery planned to begin next year, local press reports said Monday. The reports said there was anger in Ankara that the United States had made the plans known.
